Characteristics of pediatric nursing, status of child health and rights of the children, growth and developmental properties of children, family dynamics are the main topics in this course

This course contains the development of health-disease concept in children, the reactions of children for hospitalisation, the effect of the interrelationship problems of family to the children health, acute and common physical, psychological diseases or emotional-behavioral problems of children and holistic, atraumatic and family-centered nursing care for them.

This course contains nursing care for children and their families of chronic, fatal diseases, physical and mental disabilities

Students determines the seminar topic, makes literature survey, examines the researches, preparation the presentation and gives a seminar

Students taking part in the Thesis Graduate program will be required to prepare an academic thesis and defend this thesis in front of a panel of department faculty members.

This course aims to develop the concepts and principles that will form the basis of patient care by examining the basic physiology of the systems, the changes that may occur in the systems in the case of diseases, the signs, symptoms and causes caused by them.

This course includes basic concepts and models based on the science of nursing. The student internalizes the holistic nursing philosophy by learning the basic concepts and conceptual framework of nursing.

Within the aspect of basic components of biostatistics, getting data ready for analysis, data analysis, interpretation and reporting of the data are going to be discussed.

In this course, it is aimed to develop the research culture of the student and to learn the main scientific research methods. In order to do research on a particular subject, it is aimed to teach the techniques of resource screening, problem determination, planning, data collection, data evaluation and report writing techniques.

This course aims that the student shall know cancer presence mechanism, etiology, frequency in Turkey and in the world, protection and early diagnosis methods, treatment methods, physical symptoms seen as a reaction to treatment, the problem that cancer patient and patients family experience and shall plan nursing interventions

Students will gain knowledge and skills about the pathophysiology of chronic disease symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and care about. . This course includes topics such as assessment of fatigue, nausea- vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, pain, dyspnea, hypoxia, bradycardia, tachycardia, hypertension, hypotension, melena, hematekezya, hemoptysis, hematemesis, consciousness change and communication problems and symptom management.

In this course, information will be provided regarding the causes of hospital infections (nosocomial infections), their consequences and methods of protection, the authority and responsibilities of hospital administrators in this matter, and the nosocomial infection committees.
