KE 513-General Embryology
The General Embryology course covers human development from fertilization to birth. Gametogenesis, fertilization, cleavage, blastogenesis, implantation, gastrulation, neurulation, and organogenesis are examined at morphological and molecular levels. Development of cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, urogenital, and nervous systems is discussed. The embryological basis of congenital anomalies and teratogenic factors are also evaluated. The course aims to develop students? ability to analyze developmental processes.
