Providing information about the fundamental principles and contents of surgical illnesses and nursing, teaching practical skills in nursing care parallel to the nursing process, teaching the analysis skills required to surgical nursing, and accumulate knowledge.

To provide information about practical nursing skills and diseases lead to surgical operation to the patients who are under care after surgical operation.

At the end of this course the students will be able to learn the standards must be placed in the operating room, operating team and especially duties, powers and responsibilities of scrub and circular nurse, all preoperative practice today and the organization of service training programs

Course contents includes description and history of holism, philosophy and ethics of holism, importance of a holistic approach to health care, the theorists, studied on holistic approach, case study according to theorists, studied on holistic approach, holism and cultural relationship, effects of cultural differences on patient care in our country or in the world, holistic approach of complementary / alternative medicine applications, cognitive therapy, holistic approach to applications, therapeutic holistic approach in providing communication, basic principles of patient care holism, according to the principles of patient assessment holism, holistic care application process, case study, holistic care of the studies related to the discussion and sharing.

Students determine the seminar topic, makes literature survey, examines the researches, preparation the presentation and gives a seminar.

Students taking part in the Thesis Graduate program will be required to prepare an academic thesis and defend this thesis in front of a panel of department faculty members.

This course includes basic concepts and models based on the science of nursing. The student internalizes the holistic nursing philosophy by learning the basic concepts and conceptual framework of nursing.

Within the aspect of basic components of biostatistics, getting data ready for analysis, data analysis, interpretation and reporting of the data are going to be discussed.

In this course, it is aimed to develop the research culture of the student and to learn the main scientific research methods. In order to do research on a particular subject, it is aimed to teach the techniques of resource screening, problem determination, planning, data collection, data evaluation and report writing techniques.
