Course contents includes description and history of holism, philosophy and ethics of holism, importance of a holistic approach to health care, the theorists, studied on holistic approach, case study according to theorists, studied on holistic approach, holism and cultural relationship, effects of cultural differences on patient care in our country or in the world, holistic approach of complementary / alternative medicine applications, cognitive therapy, holistic approach to applications, therapeutic holistic approach in providing communication, basic principles of patient care holism, according to the principles of patient assessment holism, holistic care application process, case study, holistic care of the studies related to the discussion and sharing.

This course aims that the student shall know cancer presence mechanism, etiology, frequency in Turkey and in the world, protection and early diagnosis methods, treatment methods, physical symptoms seen as a reaction to treatment, the problem that cancer patient and patients family experience and shall plan nursing interventions
